Limited Adoption Warranty

Thank you for adopting an animal from our shelter. As with most homeless or owner-surrendered animals, we generally do not have exact or reliable knowledge about the animal’s previous medical history or tendencies in behavior. It is possible that your new pet may have been exposed to an illness, disease injury or other congenital or hereditary conditions of which we have no knowledge.

The customer agrees to take their new family member to a licensed Veterinarian within 72 hours of adoption for a well examination. If the dog is found to be unhealthy within this medical related time period, you may return your dog for a refund of your adoption fee.  Any return must be made within 5 days, and must be accompanied by a Veterinary Certificate.

The customer hereby agrees to hold SPCRA harmless and without liability for any medical treatments, diagnostic testing or behavioral issues.
